At Warren Wood the PSHE skills that we teach in the classroom help our children prepare and foster lifelong aspirations, goals and values.
PSHE is a subject that gives a chance to every child and young person equal opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge they need to thrive now and in the future. Lessons are adapted so that all children, including children in The Evergreen, are given the same opportunities in life.
These skills will allow our children to physically and emotionally deal with critical situations that they will encounter every day like friendships, emotional well-being and change. The skills that are taught in PSHE will give our children an unyielding footing to face whatever challenging opportunities lay ahead arming them with the tools to face uncertain situations with hope and fortitude.
This in turn achieves a ‘virtuous circle’, whereby pupils with better health and well-being can achieve better academically, and enjoy greater success.
