At Warren Wood Primary School, we have established a caring and nurturing environment with children at the heart of everything we do. Children are enthusiastic about their learning and have the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities that we offer to enrich the curriculum.
Year One had a great time at Forest School on Thursday. They spent their first session learning about the perimeters of the Forest School area and how to stay safe within it. Snowdrop Class have been very busy this week. They showed their creative sides when decorating stars and extended their vocabulary by using the words ‘shiny’ ‘rough’ ’smooth’ and ‘dull’. We have been exploring different textures and used our imaginations to make birthday cakes for our friends. On Tuesday Miss Clark and Miss Carter took some children from the Evergreen Centre to Rowhill School to play some dodgeball fixtures. Today Miss Clark took some Year 3/4 children to a Quicksticks Hockey Festival. The children played brilliantly, showed fantastic collaboration, and progressed immensely throughout the day. They represented our school with pride, and so much so that they were awarded with the Fair Play award by the umpires across the whole tournament.
